About Department

This section involved in the enforcement of all Government Human Resources related; Acts, Regulations, Policies, and Other various Directives which Govern the Public Service. It also manages all Administrative and Human Resource functions of the Commission.

This Section performs the following activities:-

Interpret and implements Public Service Act of 2002 and its Regulations of 2003, Public service standing Orders of 2009, Atomic Energy Act of 2003 and its Staff Regulations of 2017, Employment and Labour Relations Act of 2004 and The employment and Labour Relations (Code of Good Practice) Rules, 2007  and other HR related Acts, Laws, regulations, circulars, directives and guidelines.
Coordinate recruitment, selection, placement, confirmations, promotion, transfer and termination of employment.
Assist in the preparation of Employees Personal Emoluments budget;
Collect, analyze, tabulate and maintain human resources records, data and statistics;
Coordinate implementation of Open Performance Review and Appraisal System (OPRAS)
Assist in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations and staff discipline;
Facilitate Human Resource training and career development (professional development, performance improvement, pre-retirement, part-time, and overseas) for the TAEC;
Assist in Reviewing Scheme of service, Staff Regulation and Incentive Schemes;
Participate on the drawing up policies pertaining to proper administration of the Commission activities; and
To coordinate implementation of policies on cross-cutting issues including Gender, Safety, Disability, HIV/AIDS and Health Services.
CURRENT EMPLOYEES STATUS
As at November 2022, TAEC have a total number of 121 full time employed employees who are working at its various offices countrywide. Among 121 Employees, Comprise of 84 Males and 37 Females employees respectively.

STAFF SEMINARS & TRAINING
The section organizes Seminars and Training regularly to all TAEC Employees on various cross-cutting issues like Health Programmes on HIV&AIDS and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Anti-Corruption and Good Governance, through identified trainers from President Office, Public Service Management & Good Governance, Public Hospitals, PCCB or sometimes from other different Public Training Institutions.
