Electronic Single Window System (ESWs) is a facility that allows parties involved in International trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with single entry point to fulfill all import, export and transit related regulatory requirements. In view to this background, Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission as an ESWs stakeholder has full integrated its Radioactivity Analysis Certificate System (RACs) to the Single window system. The system is currently in the pilot stage where as Custom declaration, LPCO (Licence, Permit, Certificate and others), Payment and Joint Inspection modules can be administered through ESWs. At this point pilot is set to affect declarations only from Dar es Salaam Port and Julius Nyerere International Airport where fifteen (15) selected companies will participate in this important innovation. The main benefits of ESWs now Clearing and Forwarding Agents (CFAs) will lodge only single declaration to all government departments responsible for cargo clearance. In this context, this will fast track the clearance bureaucracy at both entry and exit points such as ports, airports and border points.
